Vicky Kaushal is the undisputed standout in Chhaava, earning consistent praise as the best and most memorable performance—physical, emotional, and transformative. Akshaye Khanna also delivers a commendable foil as the antagonist Aurangzeb, while Rashmika Mandanna brings sincerity to her limited but graceful role. Despite criticisms of pacing and music, the film is largely regarded as a showcase for Kaushal’s powerful portrayal of Sambhaji Maharaj.
